We planted trees, we placed rocks, we had moments of silence and moments of laughter. We remember and love Jack every day.
His NOLS trail name was Jackalope!
I placed my Jack rock at Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, MA. It’s near my house and I walk around it multiple times a week. I think Jack would have liked having a little bit of nature in the middle of the suburbs. I say ‘hi’ every time I pass him.

The Boston College ‘92 crew all knew Jack since he was born!
I went to see the sunrise in Plymouth. There is a beautiful spot where whales and seals have found a spot this summer. I made the trip at 5 am to see a beautiful sunrise and toss the stone in Jack’s honor and his love for nature. It was the most peaceful morning. Hugs to you all. XO Cigdem, Friend
A weeping Alaska cedar and Japanese cedar were lovingly planted for Jack in the Louisville Botanical Gardens, where we can go see them often. We miss him very much.
