"NOLS is a nonprofit global wilderness school and the leading source and teacher of wilderness skills and leadership that serve people and the environment. The Jack Murphy Foundation has stepped forward to partner with NOLS by supporting financial aid for students seeking to pursue a career in outdoor education who wish to take courses along their career path–classes such as, but not limited to: wilderness medicine certification, rescue or outdoor educator semesters, and other courses designed to enhance specific skill development.”

"Now more than ever, we need to invest in the next generation of diverse environmental stewards and offer essential opportunities for our young people to reach their full potential. Our goal is to equip and encourage young people to be effective environmental advocates and conservation leaders in their homes and communities. With the Jack Murphy Foundation, the Elevate Youth Leaders program aims to elevate our community, break down barriers of access to the outdoors & create a more inclusive and diverse home planet."
